:CLRI CLRI Central Leather Research Institute (India) ), the developer of the patented CLEARANT PROCESS(R) for pathogen inactivation inactivation /in·ac·ti·va·tion/ (in-ak?ti-va´shun) the destruction of biological activity, as of a virus, by the action of heat or other agent. , today announced that Clearant-branded ready-to-use pre-mixed radioprotectant solution is now available for sale and use with the CLEARANT PROCESS and Clearant Sterilization Service for tissue allograft allograft: see transplantation, medical.  implants.

The availability of this ready-to-use, pre-mixed solution adds convenience to the use of the CLEARANT PROCESS and Clearant Sterilization Service. Previously, Clearant tissue bank customers were required to prepare the solution of radioprotectants necessary for sterilization of tissue implants under the patented conditions of the CLEARANT PROCESS by purchasing each one of the four individual radioprotectants separately from reagent suppliers. The Clearant tissue bank customers were then instructed to follow the Clearant standard operating procedure standard operating procedure Medtalk A technique, method or therapy performed 'by the book,' using a standard protocol meeting internally or externally defined criteria; a formal, written procedure that describes how specific lab operations are to be performed.  (SOP) for mixing radioprotectant; this SOP requires precise time-consuming measurement of each radioprotectant before mixing to a specified concentration under specific conditions.

"The availability of the ready-to-use, pre-mixed solution significantly reduces the time and manpower required by tissue bank adopters of the CLEARANT PROCESS and Clearant Sterilization Service," said Alain Delongchamp, chief executive officer of Clearant. "We believe this new product can drive increased adoption of our services by reducing the learning time new customers need before implementing the CLEARANT PROCESS, and shortening the procedure time for those customers who are seeking to increase the volume of sterilized ster·il·ize

About Clearant, Inc.

Clearant, Inc. is a leader in pathogen inactivation for biological products. Clearant has developed the patent-protected CLEARANT PROCESS, which substantially reduces all types of pathogens in biological products while maintaining a high degree of the underlying protein. Whereas various competing sterilization methods only kill specific types of pathogens (such as bacteria or lipid-enveloped viruses) for specific products, the CLEARANT PROCESS reduces all types of pathogens for products across many market segments including tissue implants, plasma proteins, recombinant products, medical devices and blood products. Also, the CLEARANT PROCESS can be applied at various stages of product processing and/or manufacturing, including in the final packaging. For more information, please visit www.clearant.com.
