ClearSpeed Announces Company Advisory Board; Group to Analyze and Counsel the Company on Industry Trends.

LOS GATOS, Calif. -- ClearSpeed Technology Plc (LSE:CSD), a developer of high-performance, low-power, programmable microprocessor solutions, today announced the establishment of its advisory board and the appointment of five members to that board.

"The advisory board brings significant industry experience, leadership and knowledge to ClearSpeed," said Tom Beese, chief executive officer of ClearSpeed. "This group will enhance our ability to identify and capitalize on trends within the emerging HPC co-processor industry."

The advisory board is comprised of experienced industry leaders:

--Mr. John Hart, the chair of the board and a non-executive director of the company, who is the former chief technology officer and senior vice president of 3Com Corporation.

--Mr. Shahin Khan, vice president and chief marketing officer of Azul Systems and former vice president of High Performance and Technical Computing at Sun Microsystems.

--Dr. David May, professor and head of computer science at Bristol University, (United Kingdom) whose current research includes microprocessor architecture and system design and verification, and who was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1990 for his contributions to computer architecture and parallel computing.

--Dr. Vijay Pande, assistant professor of chemistry and structural biology at Stanford University, whose current research focuses on the development and application of novel simulation techniques to address problems in chemical biology, and who has won numerous awards, including being named to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology list of top young innovators of 2002, a Frederick E. Terman Fellowship in 2002 and a Henry and Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar in 2003.

--Mr. Deven Verma, general partner of Redwood Ventures and Edgewood Ventures, former senior vice president of Loral Corporation, and was previously involved in the forging of a relationship between India and the United States in space technology.
