This latest release of X.PC builds upon the foundational capabilities such as "prevent controls" at supplier docks, integrated barcode and RFID product labeling of trading partner shipments, and real-time integration to Oracle as the single version of truth for the extended enterprise. The Supply Network Intelligence module adds a remarkable capability, because now manufacturers and distributors can continually monitor supply chain trends, such as lead times, order acceptance, and supplier performance. Critical events are automatically flagged and information routed to the appropriate managers. X.PC goes beyond simply identifying potential issues by also offering integrated event resolution capabilities, which allows users to navigate directly to the appropriate spot in the underlying application where they can correct the problem.

X.PC 5.6 also offers new features to improve the ability to quickly "on-ramp" large groups of suppliers, including trading partner integration, supplier self-service capabilities, i-Print remote barcode labeling, and supplier wizards for implementation and setup. Usability enhancements include improved Microsoft Excel integration; configurable personal folders, saved searches and "MyPages" portlets; single sign on; custom context menus; and enhancements to the business rules engine. These features allow companies to reduce the cost of implementation, training and support.
