Clear Skies Solar, Inc. Appoints Matthew Nelson Sr. VP of Global Operations.

New Hire Brings Decades of Experience to Oversee International Expansion and Large-Scale Domestic Projects Currently Underway

NEW YORK -- Clear Skies Solar, Inc. (OTCBB:CSKH), a leading provider of renewable energy solar solutions, announced today that Matthew Nelson has joined the company as Sr. Vice President of Global Operations. Nelson will play a pivotal role in Clear Skies Solar's international expansion and will oversee a number of Clear Skies Solar's previously announced projects which are in various stages of financing in the United States, Greece and India.

"Matthew has led the solar PV design industry in Northern California for the past 10 years and has installed more than 1,000 PV systems including many notable multi-megawatt projects such as the Fresno Airport and the Denver International Airport," said Tom Oliveri, President and COO of Clear Skies Solar. "His experience in these types of large projects is quite timely as we prepare for our expansion and begin to execute on large-scale installations globally."

To ensure continued growth, Clear Skies Solar is currently taking advantage of markets with a solid feed-in tariff structure and other governmental support for renewable energy, like those in European and Asian countries. The company recently announced a 150kW, $1M solar contract in Greece and a multi-megawatt, $20M solar project in India.

Nelson, 49, previously served as Chief Executive Officer & President of Quantum Energy Group, a consulting company specializing in reducing electricity costs for all types and sizes of commercial and industrial facilities.

Nelson holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from LeTourneau University in Texas and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). He also maintains a California Contractor's License Class "A," General Engineering and Class "C-10," Electrical Contracting. He lives in Sacramento, CA, and will be based in Clear Skies Solar's local office in the Sacramento area.
