Clear Channel Radio today announced the launch of the La Preciosa Network and said legendary radio and television personality Victor Manuel Lujan has joined its already impressive programming line-up.

"In the short time that we've had La Preciosa stations on the air, we've received overwhelmingly positive responses from our listeners," said Alfredo Alonso, Senior Vice President of Programming for Clear Channel Radio. The La Preciosa format features hits from the 70s, 80s and early 90s and has quickly transformed Spanish-language radio listening.

The La Preciosa Network comprises more than a dozen stations, including: KPRC-FM/Monterey-Salinas; KSJO-FM/San Francisco-San Jose; XOCL-FM/San Diego; KSMY-FM/Santa Maria; KKDJ-FM/Bakersfield; KSPE-FM/Santa Barbara; KDIF-FM/Riverside; KFSO-FM/Fresno; KMRQ-FM/Modesto; KIZS-FM/Tulsa; KEGL-FM/Dallas; KWSL-AM/Sioux City; KNFX-AM/Rochester; and KWID-FM/Las Vegas.

La Preciosa Network is the latest innovation from Clear Channel Radio's Spanish-language programming initiative announced in September 2004. Led by Senior Vice President Hispanic Radio, Alfredo Alonso, the initiative significantly expands the choice and availability of Spanish-language programming, complementing existing Spanish-language stations in markets that currently offer Hispanic radio while introducing unique programming in markets that do not.
