Clean up with 'Earth Made'.

Soap and body care products, sleepwear, sea salt and household cleaners. have little in common at first glance. But those sold at Earth Made, one of Concord's newest boutiques, share a commonality embraced by the shop's growing clientele.

Every product carried by Earth Made is all-natural, according to Earth Made's owners, Steve and Malissa Blasdell.

"We're finding more and more families are moving toward natural products,' said Malissa Blasdell. "It seems that people are thinking, 'We're surrounded by all these chemicals everyday, so when I have a chance to take control by using natural products I'm going to do it"'

Earth Made's line of all-natural products include loofah and sea grass sponges and Blasdell Body Care, a collection of all-natural soaps and bath salts created by the entrepreneurial duo themselves after years of research and a desire to find a product that would not irritate the skin.

Bedhead pajamas, a favorite of talk show host Oprah Winfrey and intimates by Belebumbum and Glamourmom are all among the lounging and sleepwear offered by Earth Made.

A selection of gourmet sea salts and Caldrea cleaning products, all-natural household cleaners derived from plant extracts, round out Earth Made's product line.

The Blasdells' decision to open the 1,600-square-foot shop came after five successful years of selling their wares at local farmers markets and craft fairs.

"The response had been so good for all these years that we decided we needed to open our own store to better serve our clientele," Blasdell said. "So far people are really loving it. Now they can come in and get what they want when they want to."

Earth Made is located at 18 Pleasant St., Concord. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 226-4400.
