Clean hot-oil temperature controllers 'on the Fly'.

Now you can clean sludge sludge (sluj) a suspension of solid or semisolid particles in a fluid which itself may or may not be a truly viscous fluid.

and carbon deposits out of oil-circulating temperature controllers without ever shutting down production. So says Frontier Resource and Recovery Services, Inc., Lewiston, N.Y. Its new DuraClean and U-Clean system cleaners are compatible with most heat-trans fer fluids--DuraClean with petroleum-based fluids and U-Clean with glycol-based fluids. They can run at up to 550 F. Simply fill the system with the cleaning fluid and run production as usual. Carbon and sludge are disolved away.

Another industry "first" claimed by Frontier is a new fired that makes it easy to switch from older glycol-based oils to petroleum-based oils that are more economical and more environmentally friendly--without hours of flushing Flushing, part of Queens, New York City, United States

. Duratherm G is said to be the first glycol-based fluid that is compatible with petroleum-based fluids. Simply drain out the glycol glycol (glī`kōl), dihydric alcohol in which the two hydroxyl groups are bonded to different carbon atoms; the general formula for a glycol is (CH2)n(OH)2.  fluid and fill up with Duratherm G, which does not have the amber color and odor odor (o´der) a volatile emanation perceived by the sense of smell.
