Clean Technology and Sustainable Industries Organization (CTSI) Designates Austin as Global Headquarters.


BOSTON -- Clean Technology and Sustainable Industries The earliest mention of the phrase sustainable industries appeared in 1990 in a story about a Japanese group reforesting a tropical forest to help create sustainable industries for the local populace. The Seattle Times.  Organization (www.CT-SI.org), a not-for-profit industry trade organization committed to the commercialization and global adoption of clean technologies and sustainable industry practices, announced that it will be creating a new branch in Austin and designating it as the new global headquarters of the company.

The CEC is comprised of leading clean energy experts and serves as a strategic resource for cleantech companies residing or moving to the Austin region. The collective mission of the Clean Energy Council is to build a foundation on which Austin can grow its cleantech economy and emerge as the Clean Energy Capital of the World.

The CTSI sponsored Cleantechnology 2009 event will be held in Texas next year. The event will be held in Boston Massachusetts this year June 1st - 5th. More information about the event can be found at www.csievents.org
