) to utilize the company's proprietary catalyst technologies in the first diesel retrofit product that reduces both NOx and PM. The product, called the Longview(TM), was verified to be effective by the California Air Resources Board California Air Resources Board (CARB) is the "clean air agency" of the state of California in the United States. Established originally in 1967, it is a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency, an organization which reports directly to the California  last month.

OMG provides Cleaire an advanced NOx reduction catalyst and catalyzed diesel particulate filter “DPF” redirects here. For plasma focus device, see dense plasma focus.
A diesel particulate filter, sometimes called a DPF, is a device designed to remove diesel particulate matter or soot from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine.
. The catalyst products are packaged in the Cleaire Longview(TM) system. These technologies work in combination to reduce all four Environmental Protection Agency-identified criteria pollutants: oxides of nitrogen (NOx), particulate matter particulate matter
n. Abbr. PM
Material suspended in the air in the form of minute solid particles or liquid droplets, especially when considered as an atmospheric pollutant.

Noun 1.
(PM), carbon monoxide carbon monoxide, chemical compound, CO, a colorless, odorless, tasteless, extremely poisonous gas that is less dense than air under ordinary conditions. It is very slightly soluble in water and burns in air with a characteristic blue flame, producing carbon dioxide;  (CO), and hydrocarbons (HC).

The Longview reduces oxides of nitrogen (NOx) by 25%. It simultaneously reduces particulate matter (PM) by 85 percent when used with ultra-low sulfur diesel Ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) (also spelled “sulphur”) is a term used to describe a standard for defining diesel fuel with substantially lowered sulfur contents. .

"The Longview system offers an ideal solution for diesel retrofit," stated John Egan, sales and marketing manager for Cleaire. "It reduces emissions downstream of the engine, enabling us to apply our core system across multiple engine makes and models. This offers the opportunity for widespread deployment. The system requires no changes or modifications to the engine or additives such as urea or ammonia."

Cleaire packages the catalysts in its proprietary FlexBase(TM) design that enables each order to be assembled individually, allowing flexibility to accommodate a number of different designs and applications. The Longview uses Cleaire's MLC (MultiLevel Cell) A flash memory technology that stores more than one bit per cell. Traditional flash memory defines a 0 or 1 bit based on a single voltage threshold. (R) to monitor the health of the system, log critical data, and control the function of the system.

"The partnership with Cleaire is the ideal way for OMG to participate in the retrofit market," said Bill Staron, vice president & general manager at OMG. "Cleaire has tremendous capabilities and resources with regard to system integration, manufacturing, and distribution, which allows OMG to focus on the supplying our core technologies. Together we believe we provide a superior solution for the diesel retrofit emission control market."

"We are pleased to be working with a company the caliber of OMG," said Brad Edgar, executive vice president and chief technology officer for Cleaire. "They are widely respected in the gasoline and diesel catalyst technology market and we believe they possess the best available technology to meet the needs of the emerging diesel retrofit market."

The Longview is available through Fleetguard Emission Solutions, which offers installation capacity and product support through the Cummins distribution network.

Cleaire Advanced Emission Controls (www.Cleaire.com) is a division of Cummins West, Inc. Cleaire develops and manufactures retrofit systems that reduce emissions from diesel engines. Headquarters are at 14775 Wicks Blvd., San Leandro, CA 94577.
