Claude P. Moreau has been named Vice President for the Caribbean/Central America Region of Texaco's (NYSE NYSE

:TX) International Marketing and Manufacturing (TIMM TIMM Task Identification Management Matrix ) operations, effective March 1, it was announced today by Eugene Celentano, Vice President of Texaco Inc. and President of TIMM.

In making the announcement, Celentano said, &uot;Claude's proven international business and marketing experience will enable him to lead Texaco's continued growth in this important part of our international marketing operations. His excellent business acumen, combined with the strong working relationships he has already established in this geographic area, will further strengthen the company's competitive advantage and brand value throughout the region.&uot;

Moreau was graduated from Laval University Laval University, at Quebec, Que., Canada; Roman Catholic, coeducational, French language; chartered 1852, an outgrowth of a seminary established 1663 by Bishop Laval. , in 1993 following six years of various marketing assignments of increasing responsibility with Texaco Canada Inc. Moreau was appointed Manager - Texaco Cameroon in 1994. He was named Assistant Manager in Puerto Rico Puerto Rico (pwār`tō rē`kō), island (2005 est. pop. 3,917,000), 3,508 sq mi (9,086 sq km), West Indies, c.1,000 mi (1,610 km) SE of Miami, Fla.  the following year and, in 1996, he was appointed Country Manager of Puerto Rico. In January of 1999, he was named Director of Marketing for the Caribbean/Central America Region of TIMM and relocated to Coral Gables, Fla. In his new assignment, Moreau will continue to be located in Coral Gables.

Moreau succeeds J. Carey McHugh who has been appointed Vice President for the Southern Cone Region of South America for TIMM.
