It is a division of the French holding company, LVMH Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy S.A. , the world's leading luxury products group, today announced the appointement of Claude Martinez as President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. of Parfums Christian Dior Parfums Christian Dior is the make-up and perfumery line of Christian Dior SA, based on the company created by twentieth-century fashion designer Christian Dior. It was created in 1947 with the launch of Miss Dior perfume. . In this capacity, Mr. Martinez will report to Patrick J. Choel, President of the LVMH Perfumes and Cosmetics Group, which includes, in addition to Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain, Parfums Givenchy, Parfums Kenzo, BeneFit, Bliss, Fresh, Hard Candy, Urban Decay, Make Up for Ever and the Laflachere group. The appointement will be effective in June. Mr. Martinez joins Parfums Christian Dior from Unilever, which he joined in 1983. He has been President and CEO of Elida Faberge in Paris for the past four years, having recently been responsible for the merger of two major businesses of Unilever in France, and was Marketing Director for the company's Personal Products division in London from 1983 to 1987. Previously, he was a manager with Young & Rubicam, which he joined in 1979. Mr. Martinez graduated from HEC HEC Hautes Études Commerciales HEC Hautes Etudes Commerciales (French) HEC Higher Education Commission (Pakistan) HEC Hydrologic Engineering Center (Davis, CA) Business School in Paris.
