CONDUIT was once again the star on parade yesterday, with routine work the order of the day on the Al Bahathri Polytrack.

The Ladbrokes St Leger and Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup hero had usual partner Neil Varley in the plate and, with Sir Michael Stoute taking a short break in Mallorca, he was asked only to keep company with Warringah (Kevin Bradshaw), with a more serious examination likely at the weekend when the trainer returns.

Class Is Class strode out nicely for Maxine Juster, while Standpoint and Dancourt had a jog up and Dubai Echo and Templar Knight enjoyed their work together.

Jeremy Noseda had been an earlier arrival and his Express Wish had a good blowout under Les Simpson on the Al Bahathri as he prepares for Saturday's John Bovington Memorial Criterion Stakes at Newmarket.

Henry Cecil was another gallops absentee, as he takes a few days out in Florence, and Kandahar Run (Tom

Queally) looked in good form on the same stretch when moving well with Tranquil Tiger.

Ajaan (Tony Procter) heads to Newcastle for the John Smith's Northumberland Plate on Saturday, and did all that was asked of him in his exercise with Jack Dawkins.

Joe Janiak had been up the Polytrack earlier with Takeover Target and his pride and joy was asked to do only a three-quarter speed.
