Classified Ventures Announces Executive Promotions, New Assignments; Underscores Focus on Time-to-Market, Affiliate Network Support.


CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1999--

Classified Ventures, the leading online provider of nationally branded classified advertising, today announced a series of senior management promotions and new assignments designed to help the company and its divisions respond more quickly and effectively to market opportunities, and to focus more management attention on serving its vertical market affiliates.

Key executives with new titles and assignments include Mitch Golub, senior vice president, product development and marketing; Dan Donaghy, senior vice president, affiliate relations; Richard Stebbins Richard Vaughn ("Dick") Stebbins (born June 14 1945) is a former American athlete, winner of gold medal in 4x100 m relay at the 1964 Summer Olympics.

The new management appointments cover all aspects of Classified Ventures' businesses. In his new role, Golub becomes responsible for product strategy, planning, development and positioning across all vertical segments. Golub previously was general manager of cars.com.

Donaghy assumes overall responsibility for enhancing relationships with Classified Ventures' affiliate network An affiliate network acts as an intermediary between publishers (affiliates) and (merchant) affiliate programs. It allows publishers to find affiliate programs, which are suitable for their website and it helps websites offering affiliate programs reach its target audience. . He previously served as general manager of Classified Ventures' real estate industry units.

Price joins Classified Ventures from Macmillan Computer Publishing, and Granath recently joined the company from ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network  Internet Ventures.
