Classics International Entertainment verifies current negotiations with Sears Roebuck & Co.


CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 19, 1994--Classics International Entertainment, Inc., in response to inquiries, confirmed today that the company is engaged in serious discussions with Sears Roebuck and Company concerning a possible joint venture between the two companies.

No agreement has been reached at the present time and CIE (Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage, International Commission on Illumination, Vienna, Austria, www.cie.co.at) An international organization that sets standards for all aspects of lighting and illumination, including colorimetry, photometry and the measurement of visible and  released no additional details, citing the sensitivity of the negotiations.

``It is not the policy of CIE to release information concerning pending negotiations, however we're compelled to confirm the existence of these particular negotiations due to inquiries from outside the company,'' said CIE Chairman of the Board Richard Berger.
