Class of the Week.

Grangetown Junior Girls School 1951, class 2B JOYCE Henry, who now lives in the West Indies, was once a pupil at Grangetown Junior Girls School.

And when she saw our recent photograph of the same school (July 28, 2009) she decided to send her own picture to Remember When.

Back then she was Joyce Sharp and is pictured here in the middle row of the school line-up. Joyce says she's "in the middle of the row, pig tails and glasses, tall".

She also remembers the names of some of her fellow classmates, such as best friend Pat Styan.

She hopes the picture might prompt some of her old pals to get in touch.

"I also attended the Sir William Worsley SM school, St Patrick''s Rd Grangetown," she said. "I would be very pleased to reconnect with some of them. I now live in the Turks and Caicos Is, British West Indies and have done for near 20 years. I would really like to hear from them just to find out how they all are and where they are."

Joyce isn't the only Grangetown girl to now be living a long way from Teesside. The original picture was sent in by Margaret Thornton who now lives in Arizona.
