SCHOOL memories are set to come flooding back at a reunion for former students in Stockton.

Evening Gazette Evening Gazette is the name of several local newspapers:

  • Reno Evening Gazette, currently known as the Reno Gazette-Journal, in Reno, Nevada
 reader Maureen Thersby (nee Baird) has sent Remember When this great photograph of the class of 1949 from Stockton Secondary Grammar School for Girls.

Former 1949 classmates are now being invited to a reunion, being held on Friday, September 25, from 1pm at the Clairville Hotel, Yarm Road, Eaglescliffe.

Maureen has been able to give us all the names All the Names (Portuguese: Todos os nomes) is a novel by Portuguese author José Saramago. It was written in 1997 and published in English in 2000 in an award winning translation by Margaret Jull Costa.  of the girls who appear in the photograph. They are: Top row left to right, Leslie Hall, Betty Oliver, Ann Millward, Shirley Poole. Second row left to right, Barbara Newby, Elizabeth Wood, Gillian Crozier crozier
