Class action lawsuit filed on behalf of purchasers of Pepsi Puerto Rico Bottling Co. Class B common stock.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1996--A complaint entitled, "Luis A. Rivera Pomales et al., v. Pepsi-Cola Puerto Rico Bottling Co., et al.," 96 Civ. 1997, was filed on Aug. 16, 1996, in the United State District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, as a class action to recover damages on behalf of all purchasers of Class B common stock of Pepsi-Cola Puerto Rico Bottling Co. ("Pepsi Bottling") from Sept. 19, 1995 to Aug. 15, 1996 (the "Class Period").

The complaint charges Pepsi Bottling and other persons and entities with violations of the federal securities laws and the common law resulting from misrepresentations and/or omissions of material adverse information during the Class Period concerning Pepsi Bottling's financial condition and results of operations.
