Class Action Filed Against Retirement Care Associates, Inc.


WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 3, 1997--A securities fraud class action was commenced on Oct. 1, 1997, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia serves the residents of forty-six counties. These are divided up into four districts.

The Atlanta district includes: Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Internet Coffe Phone, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton, and
, Civil Action No. 1:97-CV-2998, to recover damages on behalf of purchasers of the common stock of Retirement Care Associates, Inc. ("RCA See RCA connector and video/TV history. " or the "Company") during the period Nov. 6, 1995 through Aug. 21, 1997.

The complaint names RCA, Chris Brogdon and Darrell C. Tucker as defendants and charges each with violations of the federal securities laws. Plaintiff alleges that defendants artificially inflated the price of RCA common stock by issuing materially false and misleading financial statements for the first three quarters of fiscal year 1997, ended Sept. 30, 1996, Dec. 31, 1996 and March 31, 1997, which improperly im·prop·er
