Summary: Clashes reported in south Yemen The People's Democratic Republic of Yemen, Democratic Yemen, South Yemen or Yemen (Aden) was a state in present-day southern Yemen. It united with the Yemen Arab Republic, commonly known as North Yemen, on May 22, 1990 to form the current Republic of Yemen.  on Monday between security forces and southern separatists separatists, in religion, those bodies of Christians who withdrew from the Church of England.
