The Clarks Companies, a subsidiary of C&J Clark, Limited of Somerset, England, one of the largest footwear companies in the world, will add e-Work to its preferred list of solutions, making it the corporate standard for automating business processes. The company calculated that it would recoup the cost of its investment within 18 months through automation of just two processes. However, Clarks plans to use e-Work to automate 12 to 18 processes during this 18-month time frame, which will yield increased savings at no additional cost to the company.

"All existing processes that involve extensive administrative effort or inefficient practices will be streamlined and automated through e-Work," said Steve Katsirubas, Director of Business Systems at CCNA. "To date, we have identified 30 existing processes, involving customer service, finance, and human resources The fancy word for "people." As future opportunities to reduce costs or increase sales through automation arise, we will continue to streamline them through e-Work," Katsirubas added.

Added Scott Hughes, Metastorm's Vice President of Operations-Americas, "Even with computers on every desktop in many organizations, productivity and efficiency gains are thwarted by the astounding a·stound
