The agency also is charged with protecting and conserving the area's natural resources through public outreach and education initiatives, environmental monitoring, regulation and compliance assurance, long-term planning and encouraging active public participation. The successful candidate will conduct a top-to-bottom review of the department to help the agency improve upon the processes and systems from which it delivers its core services. The goal of this project is to make DAQEM more efficient and focused. DAQEM seeks to establish an honest and objective baseline of current departmental performance and create a measurable system to track the organization's progress.
