Clarity Visual Systems Announces Advanced Performance LCD Projection Display Technology; New AP/LCD Projection Technology is Key to Market Adoption of Digital Dynamic Signage.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1999--

Clarity Visual Systems, Inc. (www.clarityvisual.com) the leader in dynamic signage solutions, announced today the worldwide rollout of Advanced Performance LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) A display technology that uses rod-shaped molecules (liquid crystals) that flow like liquid and bend light. Unenergized, the crystals direct light through two polarizing filters, allowing a natural background color to show.  projection technology (AP/LCD).

Using a unique approach to the optical structure of digital display system designs, the patent-pending display technology optimizes the proven advantages of traditional LCD displays. It is the enabling technology for the rapidly growing dynamic signage market, which includes digital menu boards and other forms of digital point-of-purchase signage.

AP/LCD produces unparalleled image quality and brightness at a significantly lower cost than any other digital large screen technology. Using unique projection optics, Clarity has increased the optical efficiency of LCD projection systems by more than 300 percent, while improving contrast and maintaining the superior video performance associated with LCD technology.

"The dynamic signage market demands the highest image quality available, but at the lowest price," said Clarity CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Paul Paul, 1901–64, king of the Hellenes (1947–64), brother and successor of George II. He married (1938) Princess Frederika of Brunswick. During Paul's reign Greece followed a pro-Western policy, and the Cyprus question was temporarily resolved.  Gulick. "Simply put, AP/LCD delivers both".

Incorporated in Clarity's 38" VideoBanner(R) display (VN-3820-V), and in the fully stackable 40" VideoWall display (WN-4030-S), AP/LCD technology achieves excellent screen brightness (150 to 180 ft-L) with an increased contrast ratio of 1000 to 1. This contrast ratio is five to ten times greater than existing digital display technologies.

AP/LCD leverages the proven reliability of large screen LCD components similar to those found in laptop computers A portable computer that has a flat LCD screen and usually weighs less than eight pounds. Often called just a "laptop," it uses batteries for mobile use and AC power for charging the batteries and desktop use. Today's high-end laptops provide all the capabilities of most desktop computers. . Both the VN-3820-V and WN-4030-S AP/LCD products use low power, ultra-long life (8,000 hours average) illumination illumination, in art

DLP is used in all types of projection devices, from data projectors that weigh only a few pounds to large rear-projection TVs to electronic  or Plasma technologies

Clarity will exhibit its new AP/LCD projection technology at Booth No. 823 at the FS-TEC `99 trade show in Dallas. With the introduction of AP/LCD, Clarity applies its extensive knowledge of LCD technology to deliver higher performance displays, with lower power requirements and optimum image contrast in the presence of high ambient Surrounding. For example, ambient temperature and humidity are atmospheric conditions that exist at the moment. See ambient lighting.  light. Since 1996, when Clarity pioneered rear-projection LCD technology for the display industry, the company has continued to deliver innovations in display technology. The arrival of AP/LCD underscores Clarity's vision as the leader in the digital display industry.
