Clarity Systems, a supplier of corporate performance management (CPM (1) (Critical Path Method) A project management planning and control technique implemented on computers. The critical path is the series of activities and tasks in the project that have no built-in slack time. ) solutions, has announced the availability of the latest release of its award-winning software, Clarity 6.1.

With new functionality in financial reporting, advanced audit trail, activity tracking, full multi-lingual support and Microsoft Office Microsoft's primary desktop applications for Windows and Mac. Depending on the package, it includes some combination of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook along with various Internet and other utilities.  integration, Clarity 6.1 "gives organizations enhanced capabilities for improving corporate performance across the enterprise," the Toronto-based company said in an announcement.

Some of the new features in Clarity 6.1 include:

Advanced Audit Trail

* Provides comprehensive data lineage allowing users to quickly identify changed data, by whom and when.

* Advanced audit trail reporting allows users to easily view how the changes have impacted the overall financial results.

Clarity Tracking

Microsoft Office Integration

* Clarity 6.1 delivers powerful new capabilities that provide easy integration with Microsoft Office, for greater flexibility in end-user reporting.

* Users can now move Clarity reports from the Web into MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint and can launch and refresh Clarity reports from inside MSOffice applications.

Database Support

Clarity 6.1 continues to support the leading OLAP (OnLine Analytical Processing) Decision support software that allows the user to quickly analyze information that has been summarized into multidimensional views and hierarchies. OLAP tools are used to perform trend analysis on sales and financial information.  and relational databases, including:

- Essbase 6.x, 7.x and System 9

- Oracle 8i, 9i and 10g

- IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  DB2 8.1 and 8.2
