Clarity Names Coad Member of the Advisory Board.

Clarity LLC, developers of Clear Voice Capture(TM), a voice enabling technology which eliminates extraneous background noises by focusing on a primary sound, said today that Michael T. Coad, a recent executive of Sprint PCS, would be joining Clarity's Advisory Board and working "closely" with the Company as a wireless consultant.

In making the announcement, Raymond Gunn, President and Chief Executive Officer of Clarity, explained that "given that the whole wireless arena is an obvious major market for our technology, Michael Coad's addition to our team accelerates our business development in this area at a much quicker pace."

Mr. Coad, 39, has spent the past five years at Sprint in Kansas City, most recently as Vice President, Product Realization where he developed and led a world class product development and management organization, positioning Sprint as an innovative leader in the wireless industry.

Prior to joining Sprint, Mr. Coad was with QUALCOMM, Inc. for nine years rising to Director, CDMA subscriber Products.

Mr. Coad, who holds several patents related to wireless technology and applications, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, San Diego and a Masters of Business Administration from California State University, San Diego.

CVC is an enabling technology for voice interface applications including cellular telephony. In addition to cellular telephones, the technology can be embedded into many consumer products including automotive telematics (the delivery of information to and from a particular site), desktop, laptop and palm top computers, personal digital assistants, intelligent home appliances, educational toys and voice recording devices.

As Mr. Gunn stated after recently attending the COMDEX consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Clarity exhibited and was recognized as a leading start-up company, "as we investigated the possibilities on the convention floor, we saw dozens of applications for CVC that we hadn't thought of as did other exhibitors who visited our booth and were getting their first glimpse of what we had to offer."
