Claritas launches Catalyst GIS+, combines data and geography access with desktop mapping from MapInfo.


ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 9, 1995--Claritas Inc., the leader in precision marketing information, has launched Catalyst GIS+, the first Windows-based software to combine data retrieval and desktop mapping Using a desktop computer to perform digital mapping functions. .

Catalyst GIS+ incorporates Claritas' powerful CD-ROM/on-line data retrieval and integration product, Catalyst Connect, with Catalyst Mapping, a practical desktop mapping system developed jointly with MapInfo specifically for use in Claritas' line of Catalyst products.

Catalyst GIS+ joins Catalyst Connect and Catalyst Coder as the third in the Catalyst family of marketing solutions products from Claritas. All Catalyst products incorporate seamless data integration from Claritas' extensive storehouse of demographic, geographic, business and marketing data covering every U.S. neighborhood and market.
