The ASVL program will no longer be offered to new customers. In addition, Claris will be the primary channel marketing, sales and distribution organization for all Apple brand software sold through distributors and resellers in the U.S. "Claris and Apple software customers and resellers will have a better solution for buying both software lines," said David R. Larson, Claris vice president of worldwide customer marketing. "And one inclusive ClarisPLUS program means a broader, more consistent and easier to manage program of licensing and maintaining Apple and Claris software." ClarisPLUS serves two main customer segments: Corporations (including government), and education sites. With one program for volume purchasing of Apple and Claris brand software, corporate and education customers now have a single source for their Apple and Claris volume software purchases. Resellers also benefit from having one source for products, marketing and licensing programs to support their sales efforts, with fewer programs to learn and a simplified purchasing structure.
