Clarion Hospital Selects HMS to Provide Information Technology Infrastructure.

) announced today that it was selected by Clarion Hospital to supply an integrated hospital information system. For Clarion Hospital, an 86-bed facility in Clarion, Penn., HMS will provide a full suite of clinical and financial software applications to help the facility implement an electronic health record (EHR (Electronic Health Records) Computerized medical records that bring patient care into the digital age and save time, money and lives. The push to adopt comprehensive electronic documentation between doctors' offices and hospital settings intensified after the RAND ).

Clarion Hospital's capital investment to update their hospital information system reinforces their commitment to providing comprehensive quality healthcare to the community. With the HMS system, doctors will have 24-hour access to patient records which should have a positive effect on medical outcomes, and HMS' inpatient EHR is CCHIT CCHIT Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology  Certified(sm) for 2007.
