In "Rate of Restated Earnings Up at L.A. Companies" (July 1), PS Business Parks Inc. was listed among L.A. companies that restated earnings between 1997 and 2001. The company did adjust the carrying values Carrying Value

Also know as "book value," it is a company's total assets minus intangible assets and liabilities, such as debt.

This is different than market value, as it can be higher or lower depending on the circumstances.
