Clarification.


The article, "Police Pursuits and Civil Liability," which appeared in the July July: see month.  2001 issue, contained an error. The last sentence of the third paragraph on page 19 should read as follows:

The majority, however, concluded that the police conduct in this case did not "shock the conscience conscience, sense of moral awareness or of right and wrong. The concept has been variously explained by moralists and philosophers.
