It is located in the district of Arlesheim. , Switzerland, has announced that its Pigments and Additives Division will be rebranding a number of products per its agreement with Sandoz, a company that Clariant spun-off from in 1995. The agreement requires Clariant to change the brand names of its products that start with the syllable syllable Segment of speech usually consisting of a vowel with or without accompanying consonant sounds (e.g., a, I, out, too, cap, snap, check). A syllabic consonant, like the final n sound in button and widen, also constitutes a syllable. "Sand." The official launch of the new product names will be January 1, 2007. The process is scheduled to be completed by January 1, 2008. The rebranding applies to the following products: Sanduvor[R] becomes Hostavin[R]; Sandostab[R] becomes Hostanox[R]; Sandoplast[R] becomes Solvaperm[R]; Sandospers(e)[R] (for the printing industry) becomes Flexonyl[R]; Sandospers(e)[R] (for the coating industry) becomes Hostatint[R]; and Sandocolor[R] becomes Anodal an·ode n. 1.
