Clariant is the global market leader in organic pigments and a highly regarded global player in additives. With our global network of more than 100 sales offices, 14 pigment production plants, 18 pigment preparation sites and 7 additive sites, we maintain great flexibility and agility to react to local market developments and individual customer requirements. R&D and technical service facilities all over the world give us the strength and resources to meet the needs of our customers wherever they do business.

Markets, Technologies and Products

Pigments: We supply pigments and specialty dyes for the manufacture of printing inks, paints and plastics, as well as for special applications such as stationery and cosmetics. Unique colorants for electrophotographic toner and ink jet inks, and aluminum dyes round out our unmatched product portfolio.

Additives: Our polymer additives, made up of UV light stabilizers, antioxidants, antistats, flame retardants, and waxes, are used in plastic resin manufacturing, compounding for plastics, and coatings for automobiles, aircraft and wood. Our non-halogen flame retardants, EXOLIT[R], are based on ammonium polyphosphate and used in intumescent coatings and plastics requiring high performance. Our polyolefin, montan LICOWAX[R], micronized waxes, CERIDUST[R], and specialty wax blends are used as lubricants for plastics, protection aids for inks and coatings, ingredients in polishes, viscosity builders for paints and pigment dispersing aids. We are the world's largest manufacturer of secondary phosphonites and offer cutting edge technology in the stabilization of polyamide NYLOSTAB[R] S-EED.
