The non-exclusive global agreement would allow any Cable &Wireless company and certain Cable &Wireless affiliates world wide to purchase and implement Clarent's Voice over IP (VoIP) products in their telecommunications networks.

Clarent is one of a number of companies chosen by Cable &Wireless to provide the technology for the convergence of voice and data over telecommunications networks. Cable &Wireless signed this agreement with Clarent after extensive and successful lab tests and field trials of Clarent products.
