Clarent Corporation Appoints Joanne Webster as New Vice President, Worldwide Human Resources.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 1998--Clarent(TM) Corporation, the premier provider of carrier-grade, phone-to-phone IP telephony solutions worldwide, has appointed Joanne Webster as vice president, Worldwide Human Resources.

With over 18 years of leadership experience in all facets of human resources, Webster has successfully worked with companies ranging from start-ups to post-IPOs, including most recently, Pointcast Incorporated, where she was Director of Human Resources for over 250 employees.

Prior to that, Webster was director of Human Resources at such notable software developers as Arbor Software Corporation, Centura Software Corporation and Novell, Inc.

A graduate from University of California, Davis, Webster holds a Bachelor of Arts and is a board member of the Bay Area Human Resource Executives Council and State Director-Elect of the California State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Other honors include Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) Certification.
