Clarent Announces Clarent ClearView For Large-Scale IP Telephony Networks.

), a worldwide leader in providing carrier-grade, phone-to-phone IP telephony solutions, announced today Clarent ClearView, a suite of network management products for large-scale IP telephony networks.

These products represent the first Clarent products compliant with the Clarent Open Network Environment (ClarentONE) architecture also announced today.

Clarent ClearView is built on a Java-based client-server platform that is designed to work with the networks of Clarent's service provider customers. These products should permit communication over the IP network with Clarent Gateways and the Clarent Command Center and are intended to provide a significant advancement in the state-of-the-art management of VoIP networks.

In addition, the products are designed to offer a high degree of flexibility, greater granularity and increased control in managing a Clarent-based IP telephony network. Clarent Package Distributor -- a Pure Java(TM) applet intended to allow network administrators to configure Clarent-based networks remotely with a web browser. With Clarent Package Distributor, a single administrator can initiate a change in configuration parameters for a large network of Clarent Gateways and Clarent Command Centers with a single mouse click.

Clarent Domain Controller -- a flexible, customizable web-based application designed to allow service providers to offer their end customers -- including enterprise and retail customers -- the ability to control their own subscriber, service, and billing information. With Clarent Domain Controller, service providers should be able to quickly create custom database views for each customer and increase service differentiation.
