Clare Introduces New Addition to Family of 4-Pin 1-Form-A Solid State Relays With 5000V Input/Output Isolation.

CPC (1) (Central Processing Complex) An IBM mainframe that has two or more central processors (CPs) that share memory. It is the collection of processors, memory and I/O subsystems manufactured with a single serial number, typically all contained in one cabinet. 1394G Targets High Voltage The term high voltage characterizes electrical circuits, in which the voltage used is the cause of particular safety concerns and insulation requirements. High voltage is used in electrical power distribution, in cathode ray tubes, to generate X-rays and particle beams, to  Metering and Medical Equipment Applications

:IXYS) announces the immediate availability of their new 4-pin, 5000Vrms isolation barrier, OptoMOS[R] 1-Form-A (Single Pole, Normally Open In electronics, a normally open switch is one that normally prevents current flow and which allows current to flow when it is perturbed. Such a switch requires a constant intervention in order to keep it closed. ), Solid State Relay A relay that contains no mechanical parts. All switching mechanisms are semiconductor or thin film components. . This CPC1394G offers a blocking voltage of 600V, maximum current handling capability of 120mA, and an on-resistance of 35 Ohms. This 4-pin device is offered in both DIP and surface mount packages.

Clare's latest 5000Vrms OptoMOS relay expands the current offering of miniature 4-pin package devices, providing the optimal combination of voltages and currents to designers. These devices take advantage of Clare's many years of experience with multi-chip packaging and proprietary leadframe design to achieve a 5000Vrms input to output isolation.

The high-performance CPC1394 device targets metering and medical equipment markets where long-life and reliable performance in harsh environments are critical, and is Clare's highest voltage/current handling 4-pin DIP device offered. In addition, this device is suited for applications where it is desirable to cut off the rectified high voltage DC power in off line charger and power supplies in the 5 watts range, in order to eliminate their standby power Standby power, also called Vampire power, refers to the electric power consumed by electronic appliances in a standby mode. A very common "electricity vampire" is a power adaptor built on a plug with no power switch.  dissipation (known as "vampire power" waste).
