210 and LCA220, two new common-input OptoMOS solid state relays.

These two new relays offer a more integrated solution for designs that require two form-A outputs controlled by a single input, saving board space, design time and manufacturing costs.

of the entire OptoMOS line; broad functionality in a compact package. Wrapped up within the small package is a reliable architecture including an internal connection tying the two relay inputs together. This internal connection further reduces board space and simplifies circuit board layout. In contrast to larger, less reliable electromechanical The use of electricity to run moving parts. Disk drives, printers and motors are examples. Electromechanical systems must be designed for the eventual deterioration of moving components that wear over time. The first TVs were electromechanical systems (see video/TV history).  relay solutions, both of these new OptoMOS solid state relays are machine insertable and wave solderable, making them compatible with automated manufacturing techniques.

The LCA210 offers a load voltage rating of 350 volts, with a load current rating of 85mA, making it an ideal relay solution for remotely switching telecom test equipment on and off the line. The LCA220, by comparison, offers a load voltage rating of 250 volts, with a load current rating of 120mA, making it well suited for industrial control and instrumentation applications.

"These two additions to the OptoMOS line enable Clare to offer a more robust set of solutions to the telecommunications test and industrial control equipment markets -- two of Clare's key markets," said David Donlin, marketing engineer for Clare's OptoMOS line of solid state relays. "The LCA210 and LCA220's capabilities, combined with Clare's unmatched ability to deliver product, provide a competitive advantage for equipment manufacturers in these and other markets."

Pricing and Availability

The LCA210 and LCA220 are currently available in sample and production quantities. For OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  quantities of 25,000, the LCA210 is priced at $2.44 with a standard lead-time of five weeks after receipt of order. For the same OEM quantity, the LCA220 is priced at $2.85 with a standard lead-time of five weeks after receipt of order.
