Clara Maass Medical Center in New Jersey Chooses The Beryl Companies to Provide Physician Referral Services.

The Beryl Companies, one of the nation's leading call center organizations, has entered into an agreement to provide outsourced physician referral services on behalf of Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, N.J.

Earlier this month, Clara Maass contracted with Beryl to add its unique "Find-a-Physician link" to the hospital's existing Web site. The combination of these two services means that neighboring residents can now choose between phone or computer, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to help find the right physician for their individual and family needs.

Through either medium, Beryl's sophisticated technology will provide callers specific information on physicians in their area; matching callers' preferences concerning insurance coverage, areas of specialty and geographic location; and even directly linking the caller to the physician's office so as to facilitate an initial appointment.

Clara Maass is the first hospital in the state of New Jersey to receive a seal of approval from the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). Only 50 hospitals in the country have received this accreditation. The hospital is part of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System in Toms River, N.J., which began using Beryl services in 1995.
