Clan Resources Ltd. Becomes Energy Metals Corporation and Announces Management Changes.

 VENTURE:CLU) is pleased to announce a change of name, a new trading symbol and a number of appointments which are intended to strengthen the management team.

Change of Name and New Trading Symbol

The Company has changed its name to Energy Metals Corporation effective December 17, 2004 to better reflect the Company's focus on the acquisition, exploration and development of uranium assets. The Company's new trading symbol is EMC (1) (EMC Corporation, Hopkinton, MA, www.emc.com) The leading supplier of storage products for midrange computers and mainframes. Founded in 1979 by Richard J. Egan and Roger Marino, EMC has developed advanced storage and retrieval technologies for the world's largest companies.  and the common shares will commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange TSX Venture Exchange

Originally called the Canadian Venture Exchange (CDNX), this was a result of the merger of the Vancouver and Alberta stock exchanges. The goal of TSX Venture Exchange is to provide venture companies with effective access to capital while protecting investors.
 under the new name on Monday, December 20, 2004. There are no changes to the Company's share capital structure associated with the name change.

In connection with the Company's name change, the Company has adopted a new form of share certificate. Shareholders may obtain the new form of share certificate by surrendering their existing share certificate to Pacific Corporate Trust Company, the Company's transfer agent in Vancouver, BC.

Management Changes

Effective December 17, 2004, the Company has appointed Paul Matysek, a director of the Company since 1999, as the new President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . James G. G. Watt, who served as President since 1998, will assume the position of Chairman of the board of directors.

Mr. Matysek is a professional geologist with over 25 years of international exploration and development experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science Noun 1. Bachelor of Science - a bachelor's degree in science

 degree from the University of Toronto Research at the University of Toronto has been responsible for the world's first electronic heart pacemaker, artificial larynx, single-lung transplant, nerve transplant, artificial pancreas, chemical laser, G-suit, the first practical electron microscope, the first cloning of T-cells,  and a Masters of Science degree in Geology from the University of Toronto. Mr. Matysek has been in a senior management or director position with several natural resource exploration and development companies, notably First Majestic Resource Corp., First Quantum Minerals First Quantum Minerals Ltd. is a growing mining and metals company whose principle activities include mineral exploration, development and mining. The Company produces LME grade "A" copper cathode, copper in concentrate, gold and sulphuric acid.  Ltd., Vannessa Ventures Ltd., and Odyssey Resources Ltd. Mr. Matysek has been instrumental in the acquisition and development of a number of significant precious metal and base-metal properties which include the 2.4 million ounce Crucitas Gold Project in Costa Rica and the Altintepe and Tavsan Gold Projects in Turkey. Mr. Matysek also brings financing capabilities to the Company having been involved in raising over $25 million for various exploration and development projects since 1999.

As Chairman of the board, Mr. Watt will continue to work closely with management and the board of directors in the implementation of EMC's business plan.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of William M. Sheriff as President of the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Energy Metals Corporation (US). He began his career with Cyprus Minerals-AMOCO in 1980 working on molybdenum deposits in Montana. From 1981 to 1984 as Research Geologist for Amselco Exploration, he was responsible for prospect generation for the southwest USA. From 1985 to present, he was founder and president of Platoro West Incorporated, a minerals exploration firm specializing in project identification and acquisition throughout the western USA. Platoro West has exclusive access to proprietary databases from Union Carbide and US Smelting's worldwide exploration programs along with uranium exploration databases from UV Industries, Ranchers Exploration and Hecla Mining. From 2002 until present, Mr. Sheriff has served as the President of Pacific Intermountain Gold Corporation (PIGCO), a private corporation owned by Seabridge Gold Corporation. PIGCO holds over 30 advanced gold exploration projects throughout Nevada. Mr. Sheriff received his BSc in Geology from Fort Lewis College Fort Lewis College is a small public liberal arts college and is a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges nestled between the Rocky Mountains and canyon country in Durango, Colorado.  in Durango, Colorado and conducted graduate studies at the University of Texas-El Paso in Mining Geology and Mineral Economics.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Jay McMurray of Littleton, Colorado as Chief Geologist. Mr. McMurray has worked as a consultant on worldwide uranium resources and supply and demand issues for the past 14 years. He has 42 years of experience in natural resource exploration and development, including 33 years in the uranium industry. Mr. McMurray has worked with several uranium-mining companies on exploration and development projects throughout the western United States including Exxon Minerals and Rocky Mountain Energy/Union Pacific Minerals. In addition, he has worked as a consultant on exploration projects in Canada, Gabon and Paraguay and has visited most of the major uranium mines in the world as part of his independent consulting activities.
