Claims of acid attack untrue.


A MAN who claimed he had been attacked with acid that burned his face was today exposed as a fraud.

A man in is 30s reported to police that an unknown substance had been thrown into his eyes by one of two men who had confronted him in Smallwood Smallwood may refer to:

But after a police investigation it was revealed that the wounds were self inflicted and the attackers did not exist.

Det Con Mark Carter, from West Mercia Police, said: "We have now established that the alleged attack never took place and as a consequence we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident. We hope this will also reassure re·as·sure
