Claim brushed aside; You Say Email:letters@liverpoolecho.co.uk.JOHN Ball (ECHO letters, September 24) stated that Crosby''s image is affected when associated with Bootle or Litherland. I would estimate that the majority of Crosby residents are originally from the surrounding towns like Bootle, Litherland, Seaforth and Netherton and many will have relatives still living in these areas. So therefore there is a definite connection between Crosby, Bootle and Litherland, despite what Mr Ball says. Iwould be very surprised if SMBC''s street cleaning department are neglecting Crosby at the expense of other areas in the Borough. The best solution is for all residents of Sefton to be provided with a service based on equality and fairnesswhich I fully trust is SMBC''s policy. I have no gripe gripe v. To have sharp pains in the bowels. n. 1. gripes Sharp, spasmodic pains in the bowels. 2. A firm hold; a grasp. with Crosby. I have many relatives and friendswho live there. Thankfully they have not been afflicted af·flict tr.v. af·flict·ed, af·flict·ing, af·flicts To inflict grievous physical or mental suffering on.
