Civil society, ICTs & governance in Africa Discussion Forum: October 1-30, 2002.


In collaboration with the Association of Progressive Communication (APC (1) (American Power Conversion Corporation, West Kingston, RI, www.apcc.com) The leading manufacturer of UPS systems and surge suppressors, founded in 1981 by Rodger Dowdell, Neil Rasmussen and Emanual Landsman, three electronic power engineers who had worked at MIT. ), UNECA UNECA United Nations Economic Commission for Africa  is holding a discussion forum on the role of civil society in promoting the use of ICTs to strengthen and stimulate participatory approaches to governance in Africa. It is expected that the discussions will feed into forthcoming events being planned by the APC as well as the U NECA NECA National Electrical Contractors Association

En collaboration avec l'Association pour les Communications Participatives, UNECA conduit un forum de discussion sur le r61e de la societe civile dans la promotion de l'utilisation des TIC pour renforcer et stimuler les approches participatives relatives a la gouvernance en Afrique. Il est prevu que les discussions permettent l'enrichissement d'evenements en voie de planification par APC et UNECA tels que la conference sur la Societe Civile et les TICs en Afrique (Novembre 2002), le Comite sur le Developpement de l'Information (CODI/ 2003) et le Forum de DevMoppement Africain (ADF) Les discussions constitueront aussi la base des opinions de le societe civile qui seront communiquees au Sommet Mondial Mondial can refer to:
