Civil rights leader now shilling for Wal-Mart.


While the national media is drawing attention to criticisms mounted against Wal-Mart, the company has signed up a civil rights era figure, Andrew Young Andrew Jackson Young, Jr. (born March 12, 1932) is an American civil rights activist, former mayor of Atlanta, Georgia, and was the United States' first African-American ambassador to the United Nations. , to support the continued expansion of the world's largest corporation. Young, a former aide to Martin Luther King, Jr., has been a U.S. Congressman and mayor of Atlanta. He told the AP that Wal-Mart offers "some of the best entry-level jobs An entry-level job is a job that generally requires little skill and knowledge, and is generally of a low pay. These jobs may require physical strength or some on-site training. Many entry-level jobs are part-time, and do not include employee benefits.  that are available to poor people."
