Civic heads meet temple's chairman.


BIRMINGHAM'S Lord Mayor donned traditional Sikh head dress when he dropped in to one of the city's busiest temples.

Councillor Michael Wilkes along with Lady Mayoress Vivienne Wilkes met with religious leaders at the Gurdwara gurdwara

Sikh place of worship. Each gurdwara houses a copy of the Adi Granth and serves as a meeting place for worship, including recitation, singing, and explication of scripture. A community kitchen and often a school are attached to the building.
