CityXpress Signs an Additional Nine Auction Events with 12 Participating Newspapers.

CityXpress Corp. (OTCBB: CYXP), the leading supplier of revenue-generating event auctions for the newspaper industry, today announced that it has signed agreements to stage nine auction events with 12 participating newspapers using the CityXpress Xpress Auctions platform. Participating newspapers include the Long Beach (CA) Press-Telegram, Lima (OH) News and Conley Publishing Group. An additional six event auctions have also been scheduled with other U.S. daily newspapers for the first and second quarters of 2003.

The Long Beach Press-Telegram, a 96,000 circulation daily, is planning to launch an event auction in the second calendar quarter of 2003. Owned by MediaNews Group Inc., the seventh largest newspaper publisher in the U.S., the Press-Telegram is the fourth MediaNews newspaper property scheduled to launch an auction. The Salt Lake (UT) Tribune is currently live and Lowell (MA) Sun and Los Angeles (CA) Daily News are scheduled to launch auction events in the first and second quarters of 2003.

The Lima News, the sixth Freedom Communications owned newspaper to schedule an event auction, a 35,000 circulation daily, is slated to launch their auction in the second quarter of 2003. Under a corporate initiative promoted throughout Freedom Communications' 28 daily metro and community newspapers, Freedom has endorsed and recommended the CityXpress Xpress Auctions program to its group of newspapers.

Conley Publishing Group, based in Wisconsin, has signed to launch a joint event auction in the second quarter of 2003 with three newspaper properties. Participating newspapers include the Waukesha Freeman, Cedarburg News Graphic and West Bend Daily News.
