CityBank Board of Directors Elects Thomas Jochums as a Director.

LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- The Board of Directors today announced the election of Thomas J. Jochums to serve on the CityBank (Nasdaq:CTBK) Board of Directors, effective November 10, 2005.

Thomas J. Jochums is a retired Managing Director and Chairman of Marsh Global Surety Practice with 34 years of service in the insurance industry. In addition to the many other associations of which he is involved, Tom serves on the Board of Directors of the Bellevue Farms Land Owner Association of Idaho.

Tom brings a strong combination of skills in insurance and financial management. His experience in a wide range of industries will complement the current board's composition.
