City stars revealed to take the Walk of Fame; HONOUR: Ten more famous names to be added to Priory Place attraction.

COVENTRY-born poet Philip Larkin Philip Arthur Larkin, CH, CBE, FRSL, (9 August 1922 – 2 December 1985) was an English poet, novelist and jazz critic. He spent his working life as a university librarian and was offered the Poet Laureateship following the death of John Betjeman, but declined the post. , Hollywood star The Hollywood Star was an idiosyncratic gossip tabloid published on an erratic schedule in Hollywood, California by William Kern, who wrote much of the magazine under the pseudonym "Bill Dakota.  Clive Owen and the Sky Blues FA Cup winning team will be among 10 new names on the city's Walk of Fame.

Each will be honoured with a bronze plaque in Priory Place at the heart of Coventry city centre.

Larkin, who penned the famous poem This Be The Verse as part of his Whitsun Weddings collection, joins the star of Sin City and Chancer Chancer was a British television serial produced by Central Television for ITV. It told the story of a likeable conman and rogue (played by Clive Owen) at the end of the yuppie eighties.  Clive Owen, Coventry City's 1987 FA Cup winning team and the industrialist Sir Alfred Herbert Sir Alfred Edward Herbert, (September 5, 1866 – May 26, 1957), was an English industrialist who founded the Alfred Herbert machine tool company in 1887. The company which was based in Coventry became one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of machine tools in the  to be selected for the accolade.

More than 2,600 people voted for their favourite city personalities past and present, including the athlete Marlon Devonish Marlon Devonish (born June 1, 1976 in Coventry, England) is an English sprint athlete.

He is a member of the Coventry Godiva Harriers athletics club and is coached by Tony Lester.
, singer Vince Hill and the actress Billie Whitelaw.

An official unveiling ceremony is scheduled to take place in May.

They join other well-known names revealed on the Walk of Fame last year, including jet pioneer Frank Whittle and music legends The Specials.

Peter Walters, of CV One, who chairs the organising group, said: "Once these names are in place, the Walk of Fame will really look like what it is - a great way to celebrate some of the extraordinary talent this city has produced."

Local music historian Pete Chambers, who came up with the original idea, added: "Take nine top 20 hit singles, seven Baftas, three CBEs, two Knighthoods, an Olympic Goldmedal and the FA Cup for good measure.

"Add some Coventry magic and hey presto, out come 10 more great names for Coventry's tourist attraction."

Coun Tim Sawdon, cabinet member for culture, leisure and libraries, said: "Once again, Coventry people have voted in large numbers and chosen a wide range of great Coventrians.

"We look forward to seeing the next set of plaques unveiled in Priory Place in May."

Coventry's Walk of Fame celebrates people who have brought the city recognition at national or international level.

Recipients do not necessarily have to be Coventry born, but must have a strong connection with the city.
