WHAT:    To affirm its commitment to the abolition of capital
         punishment and recognize the fourth Annual World Day of
         Cities Against the Death Penalty, The City of West Hollywood
         will hold a press conference tomorrow, Wednesday, November
         30, 2005. Opposition to capital punishment is now the
         majority view globally. Last year, according to Amnesty
         International, 97% of all known executions took place in just
         four countries: China, Iran, Viet Nam and the United States.
         All western democracies, except the United States, have
         abolished the death penalty. Nationally, the issue of the
         death penalty is a newsworthy topic with several high profile
         death penalty cases in the spotlight.
