City of Virginia Beach Purchases RSDL.

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. -- E-Z-EM, Inc. (NASDAQ:EZEM) today announced that the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia has purchased limited quantities of the Company's Reactive Skin Decontamination Lotion (RSDL) and its training variant for its emergency services staff.

RSDL is a liquid skin decontaminant that breaks down chemical agents such as Sarin or VX in seconds, leaving a non-toxic liquid that can be washed away with water. The Company is the exclusive global manufacturer and marketer of RSDL for first-responder organizations and military services.

Commenting on the announcement, Anthony A. Lombardo, President and CEO of E-Z-EM, said, "Though the quantities involved are small, we believe that this purchase by the City of Virginia Beach confirms that the need for chemical weapons response planning is being recognized in local communities in the United States.
