City of Pomona and Technology Partners Launch Free WiFi Weekend Friday July 7 to Sunday July 9, 2006.

WHAT: Kick-off event held to launch free WiFi service available to
anyone with wireless capability in downtown Pomona (one square
mile bordered on the north by Holt Avenue, south by Ninth
Street, west by Rebecca Street and east by Towne Avenue) from
Friday, July 7 to Sunday, July 9
WHO: Event sponsored by the City of Pomona, Cheetah Wireless
Technologies, Inc., ACS, Tropos Networks, Inc. and Nomadix
Representatives of the City of Pomona, Cheetah Wireless and ACS
will be on hand for one on one demonstrations of WiFi access
and how to set up a computer or use a PDA (personal digital
assistant) on the City of Pomona WiFi Network
WHEN: Kick-off event: Friday, July 7
WHERE: 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., Metro Link Downtown Pomona Station
