The company matched dollar-for-dollar donations from employees, and raised $12,000 for the Red Cross Liberty Fund, which was set up to aid those affected by the September terrorist attacks.

In the past year, about 40 GNP employees also volunteered their carpentry and building skills to Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity, nonprofit ecumenical Christian organization that enables low-income people to own affordable, livable housing. Headquartered in Americus, Ga., it was founded in 1976 by businessman Millard Fuller and his wife.  in Glendale, and built a house in support of the charity's mission to provide affordable housing to low-income families. GNP paid its employees for their time spent out of the office helping this charity.

During the holiday season, GNP sponsored its third-annual toy drive, benefiting Concept 7 Foster Family Support and Treatment Centers. GNP employees also selflessly contributed more than $500 in cash to buy books at Barnes & Noble, benefiting the Latino Children's Association with the belief that "any child who asks for a book for Christmas should receive it!"

The company also contributed food and other resources to the Foothill Unity Center.
